Tempered Glass - Safety Glass

Tempered glass is a safety glass regularly used where standard glass could pose a potential danger. Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than standard glass and does not break into sharp shards when it fails.
The brittle nature of tempered glass causes it to shatter into small oval-shaped pebbles when broken. This eliminates the danger of sharp edges.
BCA requires the windows of mining accommodation to be made of tempered glass.

Modular Villages signs exclusive OEM deal with MML Marine
Modular Villages has signed an exclusive Australian OEM manufacturing Agreement with MML Marine of Scotland. MML is a Scottish owned company with a manufacturing facility in Suzhou China.
MML is a specialist manufacturer of Modular Accommodation units for Offshore Oil Rigs & Gas Platforms.
Quality is key to MML with both facilities operating ISO 9000:2001. All MML products are MED or DNV certified where relevant, supplying each product with its certifications. As well as this MML has a stringent internal quality programme, ensuring all products meet MML’s exacting standards and ensuring continuous improvement to all aspects of the company.
MML counts some of the industries major players as its customers, supplying our products to companies all over the globe. Customers include BAE systems, Shell, BP, Talisman Energy, Technip, Wood Group.
MML has a 10,000m2 factory in Suzhou which has the capacity to produce up to 100 Single Person Quarters per month.

Modular Villages opens new factory in Foshan China
Modular Villages has finished fit out of its new Company Owned factory in Foshan China. The factory has been established to cater for the Australian mining industry and domestic modular building market.
The facility is 6600m2 and can produce 85 accommodation units per month. The first order of 50 units of 4 Man Single Person Quarter's is now under way. Purchasing of all materials and components is controlled by Modular Villages Australia and all electrical and plumbing materials are sourced from Australia.
